Look of the Day – Hello I’m a DORK. Lol! Another than black and white? Hell yes! Can’t. Resist. Somebody help me!

Can you tell that I’m wearing something different today? Got so excited trying out boyf’s collection of snapbacks. So far, this is my fave among the bunch. I’m keen about trying on “headwear” be it floral wreath or hats or headbands. This time I mustered the courage to sport snapbacks. LOTD inspired by Juliett Kuczynska of Maffashion. Love her!

Apart from that, there’s no other comfortable article of clothing than a t-shirt. Would you agree? This tee from PINKaholic’s collection is so comfy and stretchy. I even bought another one in gray. Instant laidback vibe with all the bold letters in the front that says dork and nerd. Now that’s a statement tee! Lol!

These earrings are a steal at PHP30 (I think). It’s composed of little spikes and pins.

I call this the optical illusion pants. My current fave (I’ve been wearing ‘em nonstop).

This has to be my favorite look from last week’s set of outfit shots. Prolly explains why I saved the best for last!

I’m expecting new goodies coming in this week from new sponsors. Can’t wait to shoot looks again! And I do hope boyf’s up for it. I get timid at times to approach him to take my outfit shots. I dunno why.. I guess it’s because I’ve been bothering him too much lately. Yeah, I’m annoying like that. Haha! Also, I’ll be hosting another giveaway but haven’t had the time to draft the post and mechanics yet. So many things to doooo.. Bear with me!

Remember how I blabbed about the beach, sun, and summer? Well guess what, I got what I asked for. I was able to snap a few (a lot actually) pics of our quick trip yesterday. It will surely satisfy one’s beach craving. You’ll leave the place toasted. And by toasted I mean burnt skin as I am now suffering the effect of first degree sunburn. Hoho!

Britania Islands (also Britania Group of Islands) is a more or less two-hour drive from Butuan. It is situated in Brgy. Britania, San Agustin, Surigao del Sur. According to the locals, the place was discovered early 2011 and visitors started coming in since then. They have several establishments in the area that allows you to stay overnight with quaint little rooms complete with AC and bathroom. Room rates range from PHPH1500-PHP3000.

Uh-mazing! It is a perfect combination of sea, sand and sky. 

Before getting into the place, there a bunch of fees that would greet you, like environmental fees which costs at PHP12.50/head and others that I cannot remember. It was recently implemented as a way of maintaining the place so let us not complain, okay?!

I suggest bringing packed or cooked food. Roasting, grilling, and stuff like that isn’t allowed in the island anymore. However, you can always cook and do your thing before the real “island hopping” experience. Pack light too! Avoid bringing unnecessary stuff with you. Trust me, you won’t be able to use them. Food, camera, a coverup and that’s it.

P.S. Cooking may take up most of your time so think about it before anything else. Or better yet, allot time for cooking. Don’t forget to ask if they have fresh produce like seafood or fish.

There are no cottages on all islands so lather on those sunblock with a high-SPFs. You can either stay on the boat or seek shade and rest under the trees or huge rocks. There’s no trees or rocks in the Naked Island though. It’s just a mound of pure white sand. Lol!

There’s this cave thingy too. I didn’t realize I was claustrophobic until I tried to get to the other side squishing myself between the rocks. 

Renting a bangka for the day costs PHP1500. It is quite a steal as you get to enjoy visiting around 4 or 5 islands and stop by to swim, appreciate the view, or relax.

Souvenirs? Ask the bangka driver to take you to the “Woodcraft Island” or something like that. Feel free to haggle too. The store keeper gives big discounts.

Last February 20, Steph and I were invited to an event organized by FSUU’s HRM students. Fuzzion’s 5th year was uh-mazing, not to mention successful.  It was something that I was aware of long before but never had the chance to find out what it’s all about. Apparently, Fuzzion got it’s name from food and fashion. Interesting, right?! We were judges (echos!) of the event’s mini fashion show. The theme was overly cute — Korean is the way to go! Entering the school’s gymnasium is like purchasing a ticket to an Asian tour. The food, decor, AVP, and everything was Korean-inspired. Even the students were dressed in either Korea’s traditional costume or in a KPop-ish busy, colorful neon outfit.

Bidding 2012 Goodbye

How do you end the best year you ever had? With a blast of course!

It has been one hell of a 2012 for me. I could reflect and simply smile remembering the highlights of what has been the best year ever. Sure it was inevitable to come across drama, intrigues, and rumors but isn’t that the spice of life? We can always look at the brighter side of things. 

For an instance, I was able to complete my 365 looks challenge and got back into posting looks on a regular basis. Working and maintaining a blog without losing focus was a challenge I was able to surpass. It’s a rewarding feeling to be honest. Being able to attend several blogger-related events, gaining new sponsors/readers/friends can be considered as icing on my blog cake too. Lol! There are lots of things that I am grateful about but I’m too dazed to enumerate each one at the moment. One thing is for sure, this blog has been a life-changing tool for me. I couldn’t be any happier to have spent 2012 with all of you.

You see, I may not have the most exciting, adventure-filled life which is safe to say I might have a more static sitch than you do but I’m good with it. Nonetheless, we all shared events/travels that are one for the books right?! 

Seriousness aside, do you guys have any New Year’s  resolutions?! The nonconformist in me stopped making one years ago. I found out that it doesn’t really work. Well, maybe for a good month or two but sticking to it for a whole year is just blah. We don’t need such list to stir motivation and change within ourselves. Do you agree? Teehee!

Woohoo! Here are the two new pairs of shoes that I got last week.

First is the cowboy booties I got from FancyFeet. Don’t you just love the studs and golden buckles?!

And next is the raffia wedges Steph got for me at Forever 21 Davao. I wasn’t able to go with her since it was (sort of) last minute sooo she bought me something. Shoe happy!


These are pretty darn high; don’t let the sight of it deceive you. I might have to use extra help by sticking those trusty gel cushions on this pair too. 

Which is your bet? Fall-ready boots or summer-lovin’ wedges? I have a few outfit lined up and I’m ready to shoot looks. Sadly, I doubt if the weather would let me. It’s been having mood swings, I can’t decipher whether it would shine on or rain throughout the day. We’ll just see what happens.. Yes, kind of cray cray, right?!

OASAP Wishlist

I just got my new parcel from OASAP and as early as now, I’m checking in on their new arrivals and stock them up on my wishlist. I have a quite a list and my credits are limited but I hope I get to own at least two of these goodies on my next purchase. Let’s start shall we?

First would have to be this studded bra in gold. I already have sequined silver bra from PINKaholic so having another one in gold would be perrrrrrfect! Heeee!

Next is this cutesy embellished motorcycle bag.

Next is this contrast panel pants in khaki. I’ve been seeing this style quite often lately. It will make an outfit look “put together” with less effort. A pair of trousers like this would be suitable for those with petite frames.

And to add something affordable to my list is this striped tights. Great addition for a highwaist denim shorts + oversized top ensemble. I likey!

My First Tattoo

So you prolly know I was in Cebu for one whole week right? Part of my itinerary is getting a tattoo. The idea I had in mind was theater masks (comedy/tragedy faces) because it sort of correlates with my lunatic or bipolar personality. Thanks to the boyfriend who planned everything out for me from the design down to the last detail. Teehee! Parents agreed too. Yes, I know I know I am of legal age already but until now I still feel compelled to ask permission about some personal decisions. They’re cool with it so it’s a go! Woot woot!!

We left for Cebu on Thursday and my sesh at Crol’s was scheduled Sunday. Arriving at 032, all I felt was apprehension, anxiety, and a bit of fear as to how painful getting a tat could get. I surpassed days thinking about the damned thing. At the back of my head, I’m certain that once the machine’s on and has penetrated my skin, it will be too late to back out. Haha! I had flashbacks about my college nursing demo on intradermal injection. I friggin’ cried my lungs out. I couldn’t afford such embarassment the second time around. No, never! Lol!

But I guess, tattooing was different. I dunno. Maybe because of the size of the needles used, how willing you are to try it, or how shallow it goes into the skin. Whatever! The most frightening sight would have to be seeing the set up as if you’re undergoing some sort of surgery with all the needles, gloves and the smell of dettol. Haha!

And to top that, the anxiety escalates even more having the design stenciled on your skin. Whoa, talk about scary! So yeah, good thing the artist totally understood that it was my first; he gave me time to psych myself up mentally and psychologically before the buzzin’ machine starts the physical torture. Heeee!

TBH, I was quite proud of myself. My long-time friends even congratulated me. It has always been a far-fetched high school dream that was finally realized. Haha! I’m not the brave type nor do I have a high tolerance for pain but hell yeah, I endured 3 gruelling (but not really) hours of it with the help of BBM-ing, eating chips and chocolates, drinking soda too. OA much? Diverting your attention is the secret! Sssshhh…

At the moment, I’m catering to the needs of my healing wound. It gets flaky, itchy, I couldn’t help scratching the sides and picking the dead skin off. Grrrr…

As early as now, I’m already thinking of getting another one. Sheeeesh… Same artist of course!

I Miss Blogging

Seriously, I think I’ve been out of the blogosphere for ages! I don’t feel like posting anything the last few days. I don’t think it’s apt given the situation we have experienced here in the Philippines lately. I hope the weather in Luzon gets better soon. 

By the way, I’m stuck here in Cebu. Flight tomorrow got cancelled so I’ll be sticking around this sunny city until Thursday. With an erratic internet connection, blogging would be far from normal. I’ll be meeting up with a few of my blogger friends here so I’ll keep in touch hokaay?!
